Our Mission

We work for the welfare of school children, the advancement of education, and the improvement of instructional opportunities for all.

Why unions matter

Unions are important because they help set the standards for education, skill levels, wages, working conditions, and quality of workers. Union-negotiated wages and benefits are generally superior to what non-union workers receive. Most union contracts provide far more protections than state and federal laws.

  • Unions are run by members

  • Unity is Strength

  • Unions negotiate better terms and conditions

  • You have someone on your side when you need them

  • Union workplaces are safer

  • Unions offer legal services and advice
